hand throttle reinstall
911T/E/S Carrera RS (1970-73) - Handbrake, Manual throttle, Heating, Actuator
I have forgotten how to re-install the series of washers & hardware for the hand throttle. Does part # 24 flange go toward the center of the car or outside? towards the center, it is hit by the throttle lever. Towards the outside, nut #26 loosens each time the lever is adjusted. Nut # 26 has a relief on 1 edge. which way is that installed? Also, the slit seems to have closed quite a bit as compared to the one on the heater side

gptom,
I just went through this on my 1975. The best Pelican thread was this one: Hand throttle lever I'm not sure if it answers your question, but I remember having trouble with those washers too - the tabs go toward the center if I remember correctly - once they are in the right way, it seems obvious.

The flange on 24 goes in toward the center and sits under the throttle lever. It acts as the stop to the the throttle down position. So when you pull up on the throttle lever you are pulling away from that flange. The nut is a type of lock nut. The slit portion of the nut is the top.
