Dear Friends,
I have this 1976 911 and I notice that my fuel pump harness have a different and strange plug/connector This Plug/connector have female spades, a strange rubber boot that leave half of the connection to the weather. Then I have a male spade connector that leads to the ring connector that goes to the fuel pump itself My questions are 1-) Since I accidentally disconnected the spades from this connector I would like to know which wire color goes from one to the other A- The strange connector that came from the fuse box have 1 BROWN wire and 1 BLACK wire B- The small harness with the spades i have 1 red wire that goes to a small dia ring connector and 1 brown wire that goes to a Larger dia ring connector 2-) is this strange connector original from the car? 3-) this rubber boot goes somewhere on the car, in this assembly? 4-) Once we are already talking about the fuel pump I notice that my fuel pump does not have a check valve, just o Banjo bolt tha goes to the abnjo fitting to the engine, is that correct? Thank you all |

This looks like the fuel pump connector on my '69, so I'd be inclined to assume it's correct. Make sure your brown (ground) and black wires match up going in & coming out.

That connector is supposed to plug directly into the correct style fuel pump.
I think someone may have changed the fuel pump in your car and made an adapter harness to plug into the original plug. Post a photo of the fuel pump and it's connection. For polarity the connector wiring should be brown is ground, black is 12vdc.
