Luftgekühlt 6 short video, Denver to LA

My good friend Danny Simpson made a video documenting our Luftgekühlt 6 Porsche drive from Denver, Colorado to Los Angeles, California. Hours before the drive we lost the fuel pump but fortunately we were able to find a replacement just before we left. Our first major issue was snow on Vail Pass (not in video) the pass was shut down for around 2 hours. No heat, no radio, no insulation or creature comforts made that a very long wait in 18 degree weather. The drive was uneventful except on the Professor Run where we lost a few axle bolts half way. We made quick work and caught up to the main group before the first gas fill up. Overall, Luft 6 was a blast however the Professor Run was icing on the cake. Let me know what you think of the video!

Cool Video. I met a fine Gentleman in line for a t-shirt at Luft 6 that drove his 930 Turbo from Vail Colorado to Luft 6 also. Wish I could do a road trip like that some day.Looks like fun!....

Enjoyed! Editing and music were perfect! Like how you left in the hiccup with the jack on the roadside repair.

Nice to meet you!

You were either way faster than me, or we got lost good and early and never found the original group again. We made it about 50 miles in of twisties and sweepers before we pulled over, then got hungry, then promptly headed back to orange county for good food.

I like your car!

We lost a few axel bolts on the drive, fortunately I had a few spares in my travel kit. it was 100% my fault for not thinking ahead and being in the moment. I had the drivers side on a jack stand and I assumed where I parked was completely flat, when the passenger side lifted the car rolled forward slightly and the jack dug into the dirt.
No damage, no injuries, very uneventful.

Seriously. My wife and I looked very seriously at moving to Raleigh, NC a few years ago. Like, I had a job interview and we looked at apartments serious. Then, she landed this [pretty great] job working for a mutual fund company just outside Indy. FML.
I try to vacation to mountains whenever possible.

Levi, I love your car and will likely love any video containing it.

Wow, the video is very rad and I'm super bummed I didn't make the Professor Run this year. It was my favorite part of our trip last year.

I dig your car too. What sizes are you running for wheels and tires?
