Window channel lube
I converted Gretchen's windows to a pull-up-pull-down system. I drop ~20 lbs in mechanisms doing this, but it does make it really important to get the window track alignment exactly right, the window felts need to be in good shape and the window needs to move easily. Otherwise it is just too hard to get the window to move with one hand while driving. The raising motion is a bit of a funny angle anyway so it needs to be exactly right.
Either because of or despite new window channel felts I was having a hard time getting the window to move easily. After searching online I saw a lot of suggestions to use lubes that I suspect would just get thick and goopy or ruin the window channel felt over time. I saw suggestions for "spray dry silicon," which I could not find at any stores, but I came across this spray dry graphite. I did see a 3M dry silicon spray, best price I found was $10 + $35 shipping on Amazon. Ive used powdered graphite before, but this is a little different. It sprays on with some form of accelerant and dries onto the surface and doesnt come off easily, yet its really slick. It needs more than water to wash it off hands, so I am hopeful it will stay in place even with some rain and washing. I tried it on the window felts and it worked awesome. I havent used it in the rain or have any long-term testing, but thought I'd share that if its helpful for someone.

so how did you do this conversion? as I strip to the tub, already pulled everything out of the doors.
I am planning the same thing for my 930 conversion project. plan to use RS door panels. also removing PWR mirrors. saw this done on a 944.

Kessel run in 12 parsecs!

Ed on wheeler dealers had the same issue, and he used something similar. Pretty cool.
