Front body section now available

Just ran across this and unsure how long its been available, but first time I've seen it. Seems like we are slowly getting closer to the MGB or Mustang in having a shell available.

This though bring about both solutions and difficulties in evaluations and restoration decisions.

Anyhow, this is a nice alternative if done well to, welding up other aged or rusted sheetmetal. Dansk

I had a 1972 E rusty piece of crap, and I had thought about just cutting out the various vins/ id bits and saving until a full shell came was produced. I ended up selling it on, but think it is just a matter of time. I am a classic Mini Cooper S fan along with the 911 - I think the body in white Mini has seen a lot of early Cooper S's restored / saved / created?

They're not there.....yet. The Dansk catalog is certainly growing!

They had a body on display at one of the european trade shows but it was just to show off what they make, I think they color coded their parts vs what is not yet available.

If you read the (your) posted link it says Dansk are only producing the panels and not the entire shells.

A body in white would be a wonderful addition! The Mini, Mustang, and Cameros are already paving the way, and since Porsche is pretty good on having vintage parts available, a few cars could be saved that might otherwise be scrapped due to rust.

LOL, Are we requesting Targas too, Harry?

Seems like there are plenty of Targas going around for now. Even seemingly too many early conversions to convertibles. But the more parts the better for those of us loving to restore these old machines.
