Cooling fan belt adjustment

I can't determine if the nut holding the fan pulley in place is right hand or left hand thread.
The Bentley doesn't specify so I could assume it is a right hand thread but I don't want to force anything.
I'm sure many of you have done this so someone will straighten me out in short order.

To loosen anything that turns, the nut loosens in the direction it spins IE if it turns clockwise you loosen by turning clockwise . Loosen in the direction the fan blades spins or in the case of say a saw blade in the direction the teeth point
