Door cylinder not reassembled correctly?

The door handle lock cylinder in top photo just came back from locksmith after being re-keyed.

The one below is from the opposite door and the button of the micro-switch apparently fits into the notch of the plastic cylinder viewable threw the opening of the lock cylinder housing. That lock seems to activate the micro-switch as it should. It is in the neutral position now, and turning key rotates the notch 90 degrees, activating the micro-switch, locking or unlocking the doors.

In top photo, the notch on the cylinder is 90 degrees off and only comes into view when the key is turned. I think it may have been changed when the cylinder was re-keyed.

I think the notch should be positioned as in the bottom photo. If so, can I rotate the position of the notch on the cylinder easily myself, saving me another trip to the locksmith, and trying to explain this to him?

I suspect that the lock cylinder, as it turns with the key, rotates that plastic barrel that has the notched ridge visible in my photo. That notched ridge, as it rotates, activates the little button on the underside of the micro-switched attached to the door handle assembly.

I guess what I'm asking is: is the barrel with that notched ridge in the top photo installed incorrectly? If so, how do I fix it? I don't want to take apart more of the handle assembly and lock cylinder than necessary.

Well, no one else chimed in with advice, so for those that understood the issue, I tackled it myself.

Turns out the locksmith either reinstalled the lock cylinder as he found it or rotated it 180 degrees from original. I simply inserted key into cylinder to prevent everything from flying apart, removed the screw at opposite end that holds cylinder in place, pulled cylinder out, turned it 180 degrees, and the notch now is positioned correctly and operates micro-switch as it should (I tested it before door re-assembly, which comes after I do a few more updates to the junk inside the door)
