Need brake pad, rotor, and fluid recommendations.

I know many of you will probably yell at me to use the search function, but I don't have time at the moment. Lord knows I have hundreds of hours of searching on this forum.

I have decided, for now, to keep my Carrera brakes on my 1969 911. I'm looking for brake pad recommendations for the rear, for the front, as well as The proper size of cross drilled and potentially slotted rotors. I know cross drilled rotors don't do anything; I just like how they look. I would also like a recommendation for brake fluid.

The car will be 50% Street, 30% autocross, 20% track days. Would love your opinion Bill.

I'm sorry if this seems like a lazy post: I do appreciate the help though.

I really like Pagid
RS29 for the track car but they are fine for street use too. no squeal as long as they are kept clean and dry.

RS 4-2-1 for hi perf street use, w/ some track

Fluid depends on how hard the brakes are worked
ATE 200 is fine for street and medium/ light use
if you get them hot enough for fade w/ ATE 200, Motul 600 is a nice step up, the best for the hardest worked brakes is Castrol SRF

The best is also the most expensive, there are numerous other intermediate choices too but that's what I use

I've been advised to go pads with more bite in the back. Your thoughts? And how about rotor sizes?

Textar pads, front and rear.
ATE 200 or ATE SuperBlue fluid if they are different. But supposedly the Super Blue has been banned or outlawed so that may not be found any longer.

I have the same setup, it works great, and yes super blue is unavailable, you can use ATE 200.

Here is my cent.

W/ C 3.2 brakes front and rear there is already too much rear bias

use the same pads front and rear and a p/v, either stock 33bar version or an adjustable one

It looks like I have early "M" calipers in the rear, Bill. They have a "P" stamped on them. They are probably originally from my 72. Your thoughts?

Then what I said in my first response is true, W/ 3.2 C fronts and thru '83 M rears you have the same bias as all the other '69 -83 911s, just about perfect f/r balance @1.491

3.2C f/r is 1.220 w/o a p/v

Correct. Super Blue was banned from the U.S. due to the color of the fluid not meeting U.S. regulations. Ate Typ200 "Super Gold" is the same exact thing, but is amber in color. Therefore, meeting regulations. I use this fluid. I've used it for street and track applications. It's cheap and very effective and does exactly what I need it to do in all applications it is used for on my track/street vehicle(s).

Are you concerned with noise for a brake pad? HAWK makes a few great choices. I'd go with their Ceramic or HPS performance pads. The HPS might have a bit more noise than the Ceramic pads, but will provide a better bite over the Ceramic pads. If you're going to be doing more street driver vs. track/autox then I'd probably suggest Ceramic. They're a ultra-low dust and low noise ceramic compound with a pretty good bite. Really good price too. I've used both applications with great results.

Come on up to Porterfields in Costa Mesa and talk to them
They have all the brake lines, PV's and pedal clusters you'll ever need, Sebro or Zimmerman rotors along with many types of pads
(Suggest Sebro slotted rotors and Raybestos ST-43 or ST-45 brake pads.)
Add some Motul brake fluid and your good to go.

I used Akebono "EURO" pads when I did the brakes on my Cayman. They leave less dust than stock with the same bite and are silent. I've only used them on the street.

Is that Porterfield like the brake company?

+1 on akebono. A hi-end modern alternative to brembo, Alcon and AP racing

Calipers are used on modern F1 cars. I wasn't aware of them having anything for G bod 930 calipers?
