Ebay Book Score
This better be good! It was you guys talking it up that made me do this...I didn't think I'd see another in as good condition, and I wanted a first edition anyway.

Oh it's good! Looooong, but good.
I borrowed one from a guy for 6 months once and only got partway through it, kept re-reading sections to get details...

I got a signed copy 1st edition (1 of 500) that has a leather binding and gold plating on the page edges--a very cool, interesting book.

Gee...I wonder what a leather bound (light tan factory leather) with a certificate signed by the author saying it was 1st edition, 31st copy would go for on ebay?

It would go for $475, based on previous sales.
There's a new edition in the works, which Ludvigsen is working on, and which Bentley is going to publish as a three-volume set.

Well said Jack! Scott? Yep, that's it...only difference is mine says #31, and I wrote my car's VIN# on the certificate...I probably ruined it's collectable value, but what the hell? It sits on a shelf, gets pulled down & read from time to time...remember wondering if I wanted to pay $35 at the time...for only a book. A buddy who owns an autobooks company twisted my arm, insisted I buy it...

My dad got it new and he paid something he didn't want to tell me. Alas, it won't ever be for sale so it's monetary value doesn't matter.

Several used copies for sale on Amazon. Just find the book through their regular search and there is a link to the used copies.
