Weird Boge strut, need help with parts

Gents,

Somehow I've acquired a strange Boge strut, 911-341-043-1, which Im planning to use on my 914 project.

The issue is that the spindle is threaded M20x1 and not M18x1. Every "clamp nut" I've found on the internet has been M18x1 and I've run out of ideas what the original parts might have looked like.

Did this strut use a clamp nut? Or did it use some other style of nut to secure the wheel bearing? Anyone know?

I did a bit more measuring. I was trying to convert from inches to mm and failed, go figure. This one above is definitely M18, but my other strut (911.341.080.04) is definitely M16x1. So the combination of mismatched strut bodies and the bad conversion from in to mm had me deeply confused.

I *think* I've got it all worked out now. Thanks all!

I figured it was 16 and 18 as I went through exact same research phase.
