Numbers stamped on SSI

I just received my SSI's. There are letters & numbers stamped on each side that don't seem to correspond to anything I can find (part #, etc...) I am wondering if anyone knows what the numbers stamped on the SSI refer to?

The stamped #'s and letters on mine are:

SSI 991429
SSI 938537

SSI 938537
YYXXWW as in Year, sequential number built in W week:

991429= #14 built in the 29th week of 1999.
938537= #85 built in the 37th week of 1993. (It was a good week!)

Actually, I have no idea but it does kind of follow the Porsche conventional numbering system and I didn't spend the night in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

While I appreciate the attempt, I'm not so sure about the last theory. That means that my 2 SSI's have been laying around in some warehouse for 18 and 24 years respectively. That doesn't strike me as to likely. But maybe I'm wrong.

Anyone else want to hazard a guess as to what the stamped numbers on my SSI's indicate?

I asked John about that during one of my visits. They are lot numbers. I don't recall specific numeric designations but each batch was numbered. Left and right hand exchangers were separate batches. John did huge production runs. Each run or set of batches would last a year or more. Very efficient.

The set I just sold both heat exchangers had different numbers...seems rather normal for lot production.
