Easy. Well, not "easy" easy. Rivet some ABS plastic to the underside of the urethane. Mine has it -

I'd tried for a year to find a splitter that would be close enough to make it work and still look proper. My Yellowbird bumpers were from this original group buy that Souk had put together. So I'd had a number of conversations with Brad at BW to see about adapting his 964RS front splitter to the Yellowbird part. But after several conversations with him it just seemed like he always had some excuse why he hadn't gotten to it yet. So I moved to a TRE nose with the splitter moulded in. But you might try reaching Brad again to see if he's reconsidered creating something. Both my BIL and I wanted to do the same thing though it's been a year since the last conversation with him.

Whats the difference between a splitter and air dam on aerodynamic perfomance?

DIY Ruf Splitter Option

I was not able to find a splitter or lower front spoiler for my slope nose at any reasonable cost and came up with this.

before splitter:

After splitter from the front:

Corner Pic:

back pic:

I made this from a VW Jetta lower splitter from the junk yard for $10. A little trimming with the dremil. Some Stainless nuts and bolts to secure it to the bottom. In total it was about 2 hours to modify and mount the splitter.

For your consideration.

Nice adaptation Bob- it is a combination of dam and splitter.
I need an actual splitter, by definition that extends beyond the furthest most
vertical face of the front bumper- about 3" in the case of the yellowbird front bumper.

It is the attachment to the bumper that is the tricky part here.
Since the bottom of the yellowbird bumper is not a uniform, horizontal surface, and
has a slight incline to it, it makes it hard to mount.

As Bob has done, probably a custom fabrication that has an open -U- that could bolt /rivet to the
existing dam area, and then mount a splitter to that....

air dam cancels some lift i.e. keeps air from under the car; whereas the splitter will
actually provides downforce, to keep the nose down at high speed.

Anyone want to buy my CTR tribute?

See the link in my signature $17250 with authentic Ruf wheels and the front bumper that started this whole thing.

Built suspension. Topend rebuilt with all the right parts. New culch with updated fork bearing. I never intended to sell this thing, but I could sure use the money for something more important right now.

Wow. That's weird. Been posting from my iPhone and never noticed that my signature was missing. Just checked my profile and everything is missing...hmmm....

ETA: even weirder...now it shows up. I guess it only shows up if I post from a real page, not my iPhone.

Anyone have a Ruf rear bumper they never used?
My BW Motorsports version got smashed in a NASA~CAR race last season.
Would like to replace it with a similar piece to Brads.

The one i have has vertical slat vents below the license plate, but not the horizontals on the sides.

thanks

Nic

Very cool - got any more close up pics of the front and rear bumpers?

Did you see the parts before they were installed?
