RS DOOR PANEL LOCK DIAL PROBLEMS (sticks out to far)
Anybody run into this? Car is 82sc ROW. The dials don't go down flush.

What you need to do is glue some closed cel foam on the back side of the door panel around the opening. Maybe some thats 1/4 or half inch inch thick to tighten it up.

I had the same problem. I put foam pipe insulation behind the panel. It was maybe 1/2 of an inch thick. It worked.

Contact rennline. If that is their kit your missing some plastic spacers they now supply to push the trim ring back

The opening strap has nothing to do with the locking dial. He was just showing his door panel with the dial deleted.
EDIT: Ok, never mind. I suppose the locking plunger by the vent window in his example could be opened with a hanger. Using a different style plunger that wouldn't be susceptible to that would be prudent.

I will definitely delete mine next time I reskin my RS panels - in 25 years I have NEVER touched those dials! I already deleted the central locking button when I removed my center console...
