3 prong vs 4 prong flasher / turn signal relay?
At the parts suppliers websites I see both a 3 prong and a 4 prong flasher/turn signal relay for my '72 911...what is the difference?
I also see different part numbers for the 4 prong... 90161830311 and 91461830311...again, what is the difference? |

Please post the answer as I am getting ready to investigate my flasher Thanks Tom |
Tom, I believe the 4-prong with part # 91461830311 is correct for the '72. I have not spoken with anyone at Pelican about this, you may want to do that.
Are you having problems with your turn signals and/or flashers? If so what is the issue, maybe we can trade notes. T. |

I found my flasher behind the fuel gauge. It is 4 pin, with the same 914 number as you have listed. The issue I am having is that at idle, both dash turn signal lights are flashing dimly. The turn signals themselves are working correctly. I pulled the relay out & cleaned the contacts with deOXit & reflowed all of the solder joints. I have not put it back in to test if that has helped I replaced the original voltage regulator, thinking that the contact type was not charging at idle. I have also cleaned all of the ground connections. I do NOT have LED bulbs Tom |
Thanks for posting this information Tom. Unfortunately I haven't seen the problem you've outlined so I can't add anything. Maybe someone else has?
My turn signals and flashers aren't working at all and the new relay I purchased (91461830311) now blows the fuse when I turn the blinker on. ??? |
