Sun Visor question
I need to replace or repair my sun visors I have looked around and have not found what I'm looking for.
My visors are the off white and black on the inside. Where is a good place to find replacements for them? I think I saw a thread where someone was selling a restore kit as well? Thanks Last edited by Eli W; 04-06-2017 at 04:57 AM.. |

I will call them but I think everyone is out of them.
I have been calling around and the story is the Porsche parts supplier is behind, and they ran out of all they had on hand and no eta when they will show up again. There is supposed to be so guy down in Austin who redoes Targa Tops who makes repos like the factory visors. Anyone know who the guy in Austin is? |

I used vinyl specialties as I have enough black trim in the car that it blends and didn't need two tone. Awesome work at reasonable rate.

I bought some repos on ebay, I'm sure they will be crap, but what I have now stinks. But I wanted the off white and black like I have now.
Porsche will probably get them back, because there is still a ton of demand for them, they started making them again a couple of years ago according to a guy at PartsHeaven. |

Porsche classic division still supplies the visors. Part numbers are PCG73103102 and PCG73103202
~$110 each from the dealer. Todd

I found a local guy that does interior work. He managed to match the burgundy interior color perfectly. The mirrors on the sun visors are gone but I never used them anyway. The foam interior on my old visors were disseminating. If I touched them they would puff out a cloud of powdered form.

They are front cream color black on back, that part number is for years 68-77 i believe. They are made by heating too pieces of vinyl together so they have no stitching. The problem with the original ones is the foam inside them breaks down and turns them into a nice lumpy plastic bag.

A few years ago I replaced mine with ones out of a 993. I bought them at the Hersey swap meet. The guy assured me they would fit. They did. Much more sturdy than the originals. But, they are all black.

I will send you a pm.
I'm very happy with them, they don't have seem and are constructed just like the originals. Shocked that they were this good. |
