Yellow Lens for 911 SC

So I want the yellow 'French' lens' on my '81 911SC...don't ask...just do(!)...legality aside...I have a pair of the Yellow Bosch Lens from Germany...Question is this, are the trim rings the only things that need to be changed?...think my rings are H1-go from thicker at top the thinner at bottom...is it H4 that I need ...and are the stock buckets that I have able to accommodate the lens...need paintable rings and what else...??..thanks!!

You need complete H4 lamp assemblies to change over to be able to use those lenses.

It's a really easy swap. Undo the screws on the trim ring, then unbolt the whole lamp assembly. I think it was four bolts around the edges. Then you can bolt in the new H4 assembly. Should be done rather quick. I had trouble getting the new trim ring to seat, and it still didn't take very long to do.

The more difficult part is changing out the existing clear lenses for new yellow lenses of the H4 assembly. It is a little fiddly taking out the little spring clips and then replacing them. Wear safety glasses as they an fly out unexpectedly.

Great car colour, too, BTW!

Yellow stained glass window tint, from Krylon. So when the POPO busts ya, you can single edge blade it off.

$7.99 USD in a rattle can. Tell your friends, have a lottery on which lasts longer, the paint or the time until you HAVE to take it off....%^)
