Engine/Transmission Mounts

I realized after the order was shipped I added only 2 mounts. Given I wont be placing another order for a bit if you had two replace only the transmission or the engine mounts which would you replace?

Thanks

id replace the motor side 1st as the transmission mount are important for shift quality they are significantly easier to install with the motor & tranny installed if you were to do it later.

Is the car all original mount wise? I'd actually replace the transmission side if you're having any kind of shifting issues.

I used solid mounts for the transmission and semi-solid for the engine. HUGE improvement.

Might be worth it to just order what you need and do it all at once. It'll save you time in the long run.

All stock as far as I know. I was in my head leaning toward the tranny mounts as I'd like to see if that would help the shifting a bit. I meant to order all 4 but only added 2 to the cart for some reason. Any way I think the two areas are pretty independent of each other as far as the actual work to install goes so I'll go with my gut and your suggestion and do the tranny mounts first.

It's true that the areas are separate. My rear engine motor mount bar snapped and I had to replace it, which meant a partial engine drop, which meant I was going to raise car and put it on stands anyway. You get the idea from there. Good luck, let us know if you need help.

If the mount you got is the Stock "SOFT" mounts put it on the engine side. Then order the Cabriolet "harder" Sport mounts for the gear box.
