Dumb question —*flip-up plastic cover over wiper arm nut

So I got a couple new wiper arms since my old ones were pretty dinged up. Swapping them on was easy, but I'm not sure what to do about this little plastic cover that flips up.

How is it removed? It looks like it just pulls off (based on the image of a new one), but I've pulled with some force with no luck. Is there a trick?

Yep, just pulls off. The round part has a slight lip on it, so you can stick a small flat blade in the top center part and slide/push it in towards the blade, and then pop it open.

Grab it tight and give it a good yank.

Thanks! I definitely cracked them trying to remove them, but I ordered the ones with these part numbers. At $1.00 a piece, I got extras

Another example that illustrates that I suck at anything that resembles doing anything on cars.

I have the new piece. No idea how to get it on the wiper arm.
