The muffler on my 87 was toast,so I looked around & decided on a M&K muffler (1 in, 2 out). I replaced the CAT with a "pre muffler", hers a pic. Lhr be the sound & performance!

Scart mufflers: Extremely well made. Not as light as the MK, and considerably quieter. We have a 73 twin inlet version to evaluate. Will post our findings once we have the right car to test it on. Nothing to say about a 3.2 version as no experience with that model yet

We were approached to produce for them in the US. Fairly short conversation ...

Scart
Hello
I stopped by their plant this last summer, right beside Charles De Gaule airport. They have a great manufacturing process, as I remember, with half a dozen people and a pair of huge presses for the banana type mufflers. Their operation is quite professional. I had a chance to listen to a 3.0 fitted with their Riva Race cat bypass and a Super Sport muffler it sounded wonderful. I did not get to drive it though. I was quite impressed by their quality and ordered a Super Sound muffler for my 1971 911 3.8 car. I will post results when I get it installed and running. They work directly for Porsche Classic on some special systems for their in-house restorations like the 3.0 turbo exhaust muffler. As I understand they are the only ones reproducing this early version to exact original specs. By contract they only sell it to Porsche.

One of our local 914-6's has a Scart muffler and it sounds and looks glorious. I am unsure if his car is still a 2,0 or not, however.

A friend has a Scart on his 964, sounds great, somewhat loud but refined, not obnoxious. He loves it.
