Well, *that* explains it

I'm sure some of you knew all along, and were just too polite/scared to say anything...

I do love the way the wheel arches melt over the wheels from the body. Nice looking car (but darn that cyclops light is buggly - but I do see the stats on rearender's and respect the light).

It is a geek joke. Funny one, too.

404 = file not found

Nice one, Thom

I'm perplexed too. The image serves fine for me - nice shot of Thoms car, with what look like killer huge cookie cutters, but whats the point here.

C'mon Thom, spill it.

There are 10 types of people in this world--those that understand binary, and those that don't.

And my fave,

Recursion (n): see recursion

I've always wanted to mung the department of redundancy department...

Not grokking Thom's intent either: a pic of his shiny rig w/ a snorkel-type CHMSL, overcast day in a wet parking lot with big dirty wheels ?

eh!?

The (big yellow) number on the car is 404. 404 in geek is file not found. I posted an example of a 404 error from Thom's site, of a non-existant file name I made up.

Thom got me with a "five point slow" reference a while back. I am so not with it anymore.

Dammit - didn't even notice the 404 car number.

Not a good day for design decisions........must do some grunt work.

Notice the 3rd brake light.
Notice the amusingly similar looking street light in the distance directly behind it.
Notice the shooter on the grassy knoll.

404. . . seems about as funny as a "J" after any double integer function, in Fortran66 (with an HP update)

Though, really, only Lewis Farrakhan can tell us the True meaning of the number 404.

Hmm, I guess the newbie web geek niose is being drowned out by the other 3 decades of bit-diddling in my brain. mebbe BALR 9,11 or JUMP R9 would have stirred my gray matter.

"su root" is TOO obvious ;->

Knoll, what knoll, I didn't see any knoll, who're you callin' over the knoll!

I thought 404 in Thom's case was his car doesn't exist.

In the case of Lewis Farrakhan and 404??? Dr. Island, can you explain more about this?

HAHA widebody I love that su root plate. and I've got the binary shirt, it's great. My personal favorite is the pebkac error.

Problem exists between keyboard and chair.

Yeah, I was going with the theme of the (cryptic) thread here. -- Lewis is just another guy going around creating obscure (at best) relationships between numbers and things supposed to have relevance.
