G50 Pedal Cluster Questions..

Hi Peeps. ... pulled my cluster today. needed massive cleaning.

1. red arrow: Why does the clutch return spring seems to be able to slide easily back and forth on that large white fitting. Is there a spacer or retainer that holds it to the right so it is always on that offset nub ? very strange

2. blue arrow: there is small white plastic fitting/bearing which connects clutch master cylinder plunger to the pedal... anyone know what size or where to get one. seems PP has no G50 parts whatsoever.

3. does anyone sell a rebuild kit for G50 clusters ( plastic or bronze) , or individual parts?

thanks very much!

Frank

Could you be referring to the Clutch Master Cylinder Bushing,911 (1987-89) PN 999-924-001-40-OEM? I got mine here from Pelican.

They weren't a couple years ago, there may be now but I don't know if a kit is currently available. However, here are some of the individual parts I got from Pelican when I tackled my pedal cluster.
Roll Pin, 911 (1987-89) N 023 351 1
Pedal Cluster Outer Bushing, 2 req, 911 (1987-89) 964 423 611 00 M100
Inner Brake Pedal Bushing, 2 req, 911 (1987-89) 999 924 014 4A M100
Accelerator Lever Bushing, Bronze, 911/911 Turbo (1974-89) 901 423 253 00 M105

edit: all parts in stock as of 4/24/2017

Check the main shaft while you have it apart - mine fatigued and split at around 250k miles. PP was able to find me a new one from Germany.

Over on 914World.com, one of the members, BDStone does pedal assembly rebuilds for 914's. He does beautiful work and they come back looking better than new. You might try giving him a shout. He is a terrific guy.
