72 911 parcel shelf replacement info

So my 911 is with a friend who does paint and body professionally and he has already done some work to the car, but the next repair on the list is to replace the parcel shelf. I already have the replacement panel to him and he's ready to get going. The parcel shelf had previously been repaired with a homemade metal brace structure and fiberglass which will all be removed. He's asked me to find some picture of video documentation of the install process so he can get a better idea of what he's up against and I have yet to find any documentation, does anyone know where I could find some info? A resto thread here? A YouTube video somewhere? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Check out the link below to a thread on this site, it should give you some helpful info for the process. Best of luck!

Thank you for the link dmitry. While the parcel shelf trim is not the piece being replaced, but the metal underneath it, the pictures in the thread do show enough detail to be helpful.

I had to replace the lower portion of the window frame as well. So maybe these pics show a bit about how the panels come together. I cut an entire parcel shelf out of a donor chassis, drill the spot welds out to separate it into two pieces, then cut and fit. I put the window frame section in first, then the shelf.

That is exactly what I was looking glfor, thank you!! I would absolutely replace the lower window frame section if I could find a section... Both left and right lower corners are being replaced with new pieces. I'd have no issue using a piece sectioned out of a partout car but I can't seem to find any part outs I could get the piece from. Thanks again man!!
