Continued Smoke in Cockpit

Ok, so I've posted this issue a couple times already. My latest is to remove the hoses between the heat exchangers and the heater flapper valves, and smoke continues to come into the cockpit via the dash vents. How can burnt engine oil come into the cockpit when the valves are closed and the hoses are disconnected?? There is something I am missing!

Exactly where are you seeing smoke come in? The "dash vents" (in the center of the dash and to the right of the clock) are for AC only, not heat -- heat (and smoke from heat exchangers) would come in from defroster vents at the very top of the dash, or heater vents below dash, depending on which direction your dash heater lever is set.

Smoke is coming in from the center dash vents. I have the AC disconnected so where can the smoke be getting into the system? I need a ventilation schematic. Thanks

You could try sealing off the heater flapper boxes with spray paint can tops.

I am pretty sure the flapper boxes are closed. Is there another source?

I suspect your flapper boxes are not completely closed. Common issue. Rob
