Rod bushing/Compression ratio increase

This is from Wayne's Engine Rebuild Parts Wizard:

" The piston pin bushing that is installed in the small end of the rod is very thick. As a result, you can ‘stretch’ the rods by off set boring this bushing. This is an easy way to increase your engine’s compression ratio, or correct some machining tolerance buildups. The offset bore can effectively increase or decrease the throw of the rod, and doesn’t have any adverse affects on reliability."

Does anyone know how much compression ratio increase is possible? ( On a standard 2.7L RS Mahle piston)
Thanks
