911 SC 911 shift tube replacement

Anyone successfully removed a shift tube without removing the engine/transmission? if so whats the trick.....

I'll bump it up to the top for you.

I can't remember but it's doable without too much hassle. I definitely did it but it took a while to figure out.

Guess not possible. Tried once on my 930. After A while I cut it and made a screwable connection to re-install
