Engine in, running great. Time to work on some of the odds & ends.
I am planning on replacing the Bushings with Neatrix style in the rear so I took a few measurements after a couple of runs. Got the car level and found a few suprises. LF - 306mm to Center of Wheel LF - 159mm to Center of Torsion Bar RF - 303mm to Center of Wheel RF - 154mm to center of Torsion Bar LR - 297mm to Center of Wheel LR - 287mm to Center of Torsion Bar RR - 303mm to Center of Wheel RR - 294mm to Center of Torsion Bar Questions: I only have a quarter tank of gas and I didn't put the 220lbs in the front as Bruce A. describes, so the delta of 147mm & 149mm may be a little unrealistic. Plus or minus 2mm on the side appears good though. On the rear the delta of 10mm and 9mm also looks good to spec with the differential of 1mm almost perfect. But here's the real kick in the pants, I measured form the lip of the Fender well to the ground and got some stange numbers LF - 25.875 inches RF - 26.250 inches LR - 25.0 inches RR - 25.625 inches So what's going on here. Body may not be perfect on suspension from factory. I hope it's not accident damage. Sounds like wild numbers to non-pro. me. My 77 is almost perfect. I did the fender game then measured the suspension like you did. 3/4 tank + driver weight in driver seat is important. I believe there is more of a alignment problem as body drops if you do alignment without adding proper weight of 3/4 tank and driver weight. Somebody will answer with a more educated explanation.
