need help ID'ing this engine case

Anybody happen to know what a 930.101.104.3R is off of. I have two carrera 3.0 motors one thats a sporto the other not and their case numbers are identical to above but end in 0R and I have 3 Euro SC 3.0's that all end in 4R. Cant seem to figure what engine would have ended in 3R? This is in a '77 Carrera 3.0 that has had its engine rebuilt and the case with this part number is blank, no serial number no type number.

Hi there ..use the search button and you will find you answers...
The engine numbers are on the right side of the engine next to the oil pressure sending unit.

Nope. 914-6 are based on the 69T mag case 2.0 castings. 930 part numbers didn't come out for another half a dozen years.

Post pictures Nathan. And pm Bill Verburg and ask him to comment. If it's a C3 case it's quite valuable. You should be able to find a casting date. It will be a week and a year inside a circle.

I remember the OR being a Casting number. When I swapped out my chain tensioners they had a what I thought was a part number that ended in OR and I found out are actually casting numbers. Turbo motors would start with 9307 if it was a 77 or 9305 for 75 etc.

My red book has a big blank for engine serial numbers for 77 carrera 3.0 sporto numbers.

The 77 Carrera 3.0 US are 9117600001-9117601473
