PPI in Decatur, GA

Can anyone recommend a shop in/around Decatur?

I've seen Decatur Garage in some older threads, wanted to know if they were the "go-to" air cooled shop or if there were others more highly recommended?

+1 on Franz Blam. I actually took my car over there for an alignment and some minor repairs. Very nice guy. He showed me inside and pridefully showed me one of the engines he was rebuilding. He probably had 6-7 911's in his shop, most looked like track rats. I think he would know his stuff. Plus he's a mile from me (I'm off Brockett Rd in Tucker) so that helps.

The only experience I know about Decatur Garage was I called them to ask what they would charge for a valve adjust. They kind of copped an attitude with me, said they wouldn't do it without also doing a full tuneup suite - changing spark plugs, rotor cap, etc. I told them I just did all that stuff 500 mi ago; they still refused to even quote me a price to just adjust valves. Who knows, maybe the guy had a bad cup of coffee that day or something.

I have used both Franz Blam in Tucker and Jack Lewis in Norcross. Both do really good work.

I used to live in Decatur (N. Druid hills rd.) +1 Jack Lewis based on work done on my car in 2002 and still holding up.
