I broke my clutch adjusting guide!

I was not happy with my clutch adjustment so I was tightening the two 15 mm nuts to get 39,000 or 1mm and the metal guide broke off!!!!Its the small guide that comes down from the motor! What to do? Please help.

yours was probably ready to break. a bit of good luck to have it break while at home vs. 50 miles away. Good luck!

I was just doing the normal clutch adjustment against the clutch cable support and it snapped off. Never did get the 1MM. I guess the part must have been original but I know you put pressure against the support. You would think Porsche would make parts that would last longer than 32 years! For shame. I know you start off with a 1.2 MM in the gap and the down to 1 MM. How critical is getting the 1 MM measurement? I could not seem to reach it. Then as I tightened, the support broke.
