New coupler install

So I have a rebuilt 915 going back in. I have no idea what gear it's in. How to I get a basking to get shifter coupler back on and in the ball park. Thx

Isn't there a recess in the shaft coming out of the transmission? That lines up with the tapered bolt (hole)

Make the shifter line it up with where the transmission is AFTER you do the heavy lifting.

Assuming you did not jack with the coupler, though.

Yes there the hole where the allen goes . But whole coupler was out.

There are tech articles here. Get the trans in first. Trust me, you are working this one too hard.
