Stunning car! That blue is great, so unique.

EFI would put it over the top IMO.

Beautiful color and dig the sport seats. Not trying to be a downer, because the car looks real nice, but want you to know that it is not an actual M491 - it is an SC that has been widened by someone after leaving the factory. Hopefully it was done well and hopefully the seller is not telling you anything different and/or trying to get a premium for it. M491's are actual turbo-bodied/ turbo-braked/turbo-suspensioned (all very expensive bits) cars without the turbo motor installed at the factory and instead received a NA 3.2.

According to the Turbo-look Register the 491 designation did not officially arrive from Porsche until 1984.

Facts - Turbo-Look Register

The option 491, the Turbo-Look, received official move in the sales lists, and with it in the serial production, about 10 years after presentation of 911 Turbo, so in the model year 1984. It was classified at this time still as an individual code and the correct name in the first years was: I491. First the order was possible and was planned without inclusion of the special wish department (today Porsche Exclusive) only for the Coupé. However, some cabriolets were still ordered and also provided with all insignia of the Turbo-Look, however, without having the option code I491 in the internal data sheets (cardex). For these cars the department "Sonderwunsch" was once more responsible.

Then from model year 1985 were orderable all three model variations of Porsche 911, so Coupé, Cabriolet and also the Targa with the option I491 and were produced beside their narrow counterparts on the standard production belt.

Regardless, enjoy the car, she is pretty.

Correct, that is not an M491 but other than the gauge faces (personal preference) it's gorgeous!

Congrats!

looks awesome! Speaking of the turbo look modifications. Was the widebody modifications available during that time as a special wishes option? and would a coa reveal that?
