recommended heat shield for oil lines?

All,
I have some Fabspeed exhaust headers that put out ALOT of heat. They are wider headers than the originals... which mean they right side headers extend right underneath the oil lines.

Does anyone recommend a heat shield wrap that I can cover my oil lines to keep them protected??
The large return oil line is a 5" diameter and a 4" diameter

Stratoflex

Search for "Stratoflex", it is a hightec insulation reportedly capable of being laid across a manifold. Without boiling the fuel in the linei inside.
My mechanic had some left over, which I used to insulate the fuel line directly below the heat exchanger hot air dump, which had crispied the fuel old fuel line.
I will look for a pic.
Chris

Found Pics and like to aircraft spruce which has both stratoflex and an aeroquip product designed to insulate from heat.

Ceramic coating the headers/heat exchangers reduces radiated heat (200-400 deg. F) to adjacent engine parts, wire harnesses, etc.; also increases the life of mild steel tubes. Use in conjunction with insulation hose over rigid and flex lines.

I was going to have this done when I bought the exhaust, but finding someone locally who knows how to do this right (And not just spray paint it with a can of paint) seemed to be a challenge.

I use this on another turbo car I have. The fact that its split in two allowing one to wrap a pipe that would be a bear to un-attach first, is key.

Install was a snap, original piece is actually too long, I cut it in half, It also has velcro like edges the adhere to each other, the 2 halves wrap nicely around the oil line. The ss Longacre straps are just insurance

Well I'm going to get the lava tube from HeatShield Products and some heat tape (as I'll have to cut it shorter than the 3 foot length and tape up the frayed ends).

I have read that these products pose a health risk when cutting them and that you're required to wear thick gloves, face cover, air breather, and long sleeves and pants when cutting due to the dangers of the product. IS THIS TRUE????

Bill, that DEI product description is 1.25" ID, but the factory S hose itself is about 1-5/8" (~40mm) OD. Does that wrap have enough overlap to work? If not, perhaps need a larger ID product.

When doubled up, I didn't make a real attempt to get the single ply to work, it would have been extremely tight. as I said that product has a velcro like edge, so i attached the 2 pieces w/ that edge then wrapped, seems that the opposite velcro edges were also attached but my memory is fuzzy on that.

Oh. Two pieces of that product. That would cover it and more, but why not use one item that fits?
