Differences in 3 liter pistons?
Any one have pictures of there pistons from 3 liter engines. I would like to be able to tell what compression my car has. I should have identified my pistons when I had it apart?

I don't think you can tell from looking at it - the differences are somewhat subtle...

Try to identify a part number of the piston somewhere. It will be like 95L7 or something like that if it is Mahle pistons. I have a listing from Mahle parts book that may be able to identify CR for you. Post it on this BBS and I will try to get back to you.
Otherwise calulate it out to be sure. You may be surprised that it isn't even what the manufacturer claims they are. I found mine were rather low averaging 8.1 to 1 when I actually calculated them out. Should have been 8.5 to1.
