Fuchs - 6's & 7's or 7's & 8's ?

I am thinking about buying a second set of Fuchs and am looking for opinions. The car currently has 6's and 7's. I want to buy a second set and have them polished. Should I stick with 6's and 7's or go to 7's and 8's ?

Any pros or cons to either set up ? 6's and 7's seem to be more plentiful. Anybody selling a set of clean 7's and 8's ?

Thanks,

Ron

If you want to run two different sets, at different times, then you'd probably be happier if they were the same size. That way if you use spacers to push them out, you don't have twice as much work when you want to change them. And if you like the look of the wider stance -- which you will -- then you're going to hate it when the skinny guys are in there.

Why didn't the factory do it...??

Wheels and tyres have always ben a source of contradiction.. This issue specifically deals with what the "use" of your car is???

When the factory built the 930 they used two sets of wheels and tyres, and keep in mind this was their "high volume and output" car.

6's and 7's, 7'sand 8's, 8's and 9's, have for a long time been very sucessful for steet and "race" cars for fairly obvious reasons.

"If" what you're driving is 99% street it isn't gonna matter...

Good luck...and drive safely..

Ron: I have a set of 6s and 7s for sale. The 6s were recently polished, painted and powdercoated by Al Reed (less than 500 miles ago), and they're gorgeous. I just picked up the 7s, and though they're not polished out, they're in excellent condition. I can have Al polish them for you if you'd like.

If you're interested, let me know.

Scott
