1971 911 Window Ground Location In Trunk

Hi All,

Looking to see if someone can show me where in the trunk the main ground location is located for the Power Windows.

I had this problem once before - all of a sudden both windows get stuck down. Power is getting to the motor and the switches so i suspect the ground needs to be cleaned up as it happens to both windows at the same time.

Thanks!

I don't have a 1971, but have you looked in the frunk forward of the gauges and relays? The harnesses come from the door to connecters in the frunk near the fenders up in those corners. There is a major grounding point to the chassis there on the driver's side on my 1985.

Here is a picture of mine. The brown wires lead to the grounding point.. Bear in mind that I have removed a bunch of stuff in this area. The white round connectors (there are two on my car - one for windows and one for door locks) should be fairly easy to spot. Take a gander there. I doubt they moved them too far from there (but you never know).
