need Clutch ID help
Hi folks,
Here's the deal. I'm looking to get my 3.3L SC-based engine back into my 914-6 sometime soon. Because the car uses a 901 tranny, you have to use the 2.2l pressure plate and TO bearing. I got these from our host, but found the disc itself on eBay. Well the jackass ripped me off and I have no clutch. So, I recently had a discussion with someone about SC rubber clutch discs, and how they like to explode. I did some searching and someone posted a picture from an SC that showed a clutch that looked exactly like my disc. Here's mine: So my question is, is this a 2.2L clutch disc, or did they, and can I use a different disc? Also on pressure plates, the one on my car is aluminum, but the only ones I can find new are Iron (Which is what I bought from Wayne). Were there Alu. PP's fever offered or 2.2L cars? Here is a shot of my PP: ![]() Sorry for the bad pics, but these were taken 4 years ago and I'm not home to take new ones with a decent camera. Thanks! Adam |

the input shaft on the 901 is a diffrent size, so what you need is a 225mm disc with the smaller input shaft hole. the 915 trans took a 225mm disc with a larger input shaft hole.
