The best Hex key find ever
Went to a local swamp meet here in Queensland Australia
last weekend, thought well i never do find anything much here compared to US swamps, especially Porsche parts. See many persons with hundreds of old tools that they have been trying to sell for years. One such tool i seen was this large Hex Key,was fourteen inches long, and i thought for a while, looks about the size for my 911 transmission lug. I could not remember the correct size for the 911 gearbox ,but the man only wanted $3.00 for it, and i could not see any size on it, so i thought ill buy it --only three bucks, got it home cleaned it up could not believe it 17mm,got under my 911 fitted exactly, and that sucker lug bolt came loose with one pull. I remember the man said he had had it for about 20 years. |

That's a good find, I love finding tools that do a job perfectly! No cheater extension required.

One of my best buys was a set of SK brand socket drive hex keys. It is just so much easier, most of the time, to use a ratchet or breaker bar.
