911 SC brake fluid apocapypse

OK, not as bad as the title suggests, but damn if I can't even LOOK at brake fluid lately without getting a puddle on the floor.

Long story short, I replaced my brake master cylinder and did a bench bleed (first puddle). Now I've prepared with bleeding the system using a Motive products pressure bleed system. Filled the bleeder reservoir, attached to master cylinder, pump up the pressure then hear the sickening sound of fluid streaming onto the garage floor.

Of course, I'm in a panic, looking for the offending source of leaking cat piss (brake fluid is no better, just more expensive) and find it streaming from a small tube located in the drivers side front wheel well ahead of the wheel location.

First, I'm guessing that this is coming from the brake reservoir overflow tube and it doesn't represent anything being amiss. Second, why would anyone want to use this pressure bleeding product on their beloved 911 if all it does is push brake fluid out of the overfill tube?? third, where is my spouse, I need to do it the old fashioned way of pumping 3 times, holding the brake pedal down as I open the brake bleed valve.

Anything I may be missing here? I seem to remember doing this a few years back and this crap not happening.

You could use some old left over hoses and vise grip to pinch off the over flow hose or you the old school gravity method, yes slower but will also do the job.

My 2 pennies :-)

Thx Draco,
I looked in the Bentley manual (something I should've done BEFORE the procedure) and there it is!! In a nice, clear photo with description for all to see. Using a tool to pinch off the overflow tube prior to bleeding. Feeling a bit silly right now
