Boss Kit - Steering Wheel Adapter Issue

Hi All, I had a quick look and found that this might not be a one off issue. I have a 1966 911 that has been converted from LHD to RHD. I am presuming that it still has the original steering column, however it was converted before I bought the vehicle. The vehicle had no steering wheel on it when I bought it. I have bought two Momo Boss Kits from Pelican and neither fit the spline - 12120110231 (L0231) and 12112110230 (C0230). My mechanic lent me an aftermarket wheel with adapter for moving the car around the workshop - its a Luisi with a boss that is numbered 3600 that fits. The wheel I have bought for the car is a Momo Prototipo. What Boss do I need for fitting the Momo to my car ? Cheers, Zander P.S. If any one wants to buy or swap the Momo Bosses please let me know!

You need to figure out what steering shaft was used to do the conversion and go from there. http://luisiwheels.com/hubs.pdf

^ Thanks Nostril Cheese but that didn't help as its not a Luisi Boss Kit. Turns out the Boss is a Nardi Boss and 3600 is correct for 356 and early 911. So my question is now, has Pelican Parts had the wrong Boss placed into the box that they sent to me ? I don't fancy on buying a THIRD Boss Kit that might not be on any use to me - does anyone know if there is an issue with the MOMO vs. Nardi ? I'm stuck as to why the MOMO won't fit when its supposed to be the right year....

the 231 hub is for ~74 and newer cars. since you have a hub that fits, compare the splines to those of the 230 hub - same? The last time I used a MOMO adaptor (in a BMW) it didn't seem to fit right. After checking a few things, I confirmed that it was the right part and with a little more force got it on. It was definitely tighter than the original but it came right off a few months later when I found a better wheel. btw, I haven't looked at the hubs in a while, are the model numbers not stamped on them anymore?

Correct, the 231 hub is for ~74 and newer cars - its not the one I need, but I gave it a try after 230 didn't fit. I've checked the second hub and its marked as 230 so at least I know it is what it is. I've checked it and had a mate check it and we both think it doesn't look right. I'll have another look and see if we can coax it on.... Almost tempted to keep the Nardi Boss and buy a wheel to suit it! Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.

I had similar issue today... super tight, may have been able to winch it on but god help me when I need to get it off! I gave each spline of the MOMO Boss a very light file with sandpaper wrapped around a ruler, it's alloy so only takes a couple of strokes. Slid on with minimal effort after that.
