Hey Guys I'm trying to replace my oil lines for my secondary oil cooler as one is leaking. I believe these are -12an. Does anybody know what adapter i need?

Isn’t the blue thing the adapter?

Looks like the blue pieces on both the cooler inlet/outlet are some sort of adapter(s). I'd replace both and go from there.

JS - there is a reason for the standard protocol of identifying your model/year 911 when asking questions here.

Plus, since you have AN lines, you aren't dealing with stock fittings, so you need to identify what was modified.

How, otherwise, could anyone give you accurate information?

Factory front fender coolers have the inlet and outlet on the top of the tank, so this doesn't look at all factory. Is it located under the left front fender? Supplementing one on the right side?

However, why not just take off one of the hose fittings and measure? You can easily find silhouette pictures of the AN sizes. However, your guess of -12 is a pretty good one. You should not need any adapter - whatever that blue fitting is, it has an AN male end on it.

Thanks for the reply's. I forgot to mention this is on my 911 sc. The cooler is a factory 930 cooler on the driver side. I believe the blue to be adapters. I should have asked what thread size are the factory coolers? I've seen m22 and m30.

Is it problematic to have the oil cooler fitted like this with the inlet and outlets are on the underside of the car as apposed to how the factory did it with them on top?

Factory fittings are M30

On the factory Front Fender Cooler, if you remove the fitting that is loctited to the cooler itself you will find it is M30 x M22.

All (actually it depends on the model year) so I should say Late model 911s have Hose and Hardline fittings that are M30.

Pre 71 911s had 26mm Oil Line fittings.
