Car out of storage, doesnt start
Put away running, took it out today and didnt start.
Could be the FP relay? When key is on, I do not hear the FP, I am pretty sure I used to. Pulled the relay and jumped 30 and 87a and the pump would run.

Spray a shot of ether into the intake, if it tries to start it's fuel. FP relay is a good start, pull it and spread contacts or swap another one in.
No start it's spark. Likely CD box.

Follow Joe Bob's suggestions.
On a 78, the pump will not run with ignition ON and engine not running. What you experienced MAY be normal but spreading the pins of the relay will insure contact. Pump should run during cranking, and once the engine is running. If you can find the Air Flow Sensor wire and disconnect it, the pump will run with the ignition ON. That will confirm your relay is working correctly--wire plugged in, no run. Wire unplugged, run. Again, could be spark so do that check as well. After a long sit, you may wish to pressurize the system by running the pump and lifting the sensor plate inside the intake. Once you hear/feel the injectors vibrate, stop. If the engine now starts, you know it was a fuel delivery problem and it may reoccur if you have a leak that causes loss of residual pressure.

One point of mention, I am running a 930 intake, would the AFS connector be in the same location on the back?

Whats interesting is I pulled the "t" shaped white plug by the rear panel and in doing so the FP would run when ignition is on the on position.

The only thing I did this winter was replace the motor and trans mounts, and put block off plates on instead of the back date heater ducts... crazy

Doubt it.
ossiblue is probably just saying you found the "circuit" or area the problem lies in. That electrical circuit includes the FP relay. Does the car start now? With the white connector unplugged? I called my pal with an 89 930 based on your post. I asked "does your FP run with your key in the on position" He said yes. Loud and clear. My 81 SC does not, by design. Does not mean your 930 should run with key on but I bet it does. I am gonna call Ronnie. He is has some tech knowledge and I bet he knows about the white plug you disconnected. Watch this space............

I thought it did run prior to me starting it as well. The car is not a 930, but an SC with 930 parts to turbo it.
Its odd that the car has never not started before. I am trying to think of how the few things I did this winter may have caused this, but can not think of how they would relate. No it does not start with the connector unplugged. THanks for the help.

Dig into confirming if or if not fuel pump runs.
Ok if it does or does not. Confirm spark. Right now. You will need a friend to crank while you hold a spark plug wire (coil wire) 1/2" away from it's resting spot in the distributor. Alternatively, put a spark plug, any spark plug in the coil wire where it enters the distributor. Touch it's base to a metal part on the car. Crank engine. Use gloves and insulated pliers.

I guess anything is possible. Haven't seen any evidence of vermin.
I need to determine if there is spark. I wonder if I upset something when I put the block off plates on. I had to remove a bunch of wires and move the coil and dist cap out of the way. f

Agree that you should check for spark first.
As far as the fuel pump, here's what we know: The pump works when you jump sockets 30 and 87a. Pump is good. At this point, listen for the click of the relay when you turn on the ignition. If you don't hear a click, relay is bad. Alternately, turn on the ignition and pull out/replace the relay. Does it click when it is moved out or replaced? If not, relay is bad. If you hear the click, the relay still could be bad. Here's where lifting the sensor plate with the ignition on confirms the transfer of current through the relay. If lifting the sensor doesn't cause the pump to run, relay is bad.

Which colored wires go on which terminal on the coil? I think I may have removed those at one point this winter.

my 78SC has done this before. I jiggled the wires at the ignition switch and it started. Bad connection on the ignition switch pigtail.
