Zenith Carb Testing

Can someone tell me where I can buy a small vial to measure the accelerator pump volumes on Zenith Carbs ? Anyone have an alternative ? I can't find one listed on Pelican.

I had a pyrex vial for decades until I fumbled it.

I now use a insulin hypodermic with the tip fused closed & a wire to dangle it. The markings will fade in time so scribing them on the exterior is good to do when new.

The trouble is there may not be enough clearance between outside diameter of the auxiliary venturi and the inside diameter of the main venturi if it is the OEM 27mm diameter.

I searched Pelican, Stoddard, Redline & Pierce Manifolds for the Pyrex vial & nothing.

Thank again Paul.. I ended up making a receptacle out of a straw. fused one end with a match. used a 1 cc syringe to fill it to the 0.5 ml level and marked it. trimmed the straw to make a small dipper. works like a charm. Brian

You might check out "alfa1750" on eBay. They have all kinds of carburetors and parts. They may have one. I seem to remember I bought my test vial through stoddard back in 2011.

Paul- what is the correct procedure for removal of the enrichment circuit. My micro switch has died. I've read different opinions on the forum. Brian
