Rally Mud Flaps

Hello guys, I am wondering if anyone can help me find mud flaps for my 911 SC. I am setting it up for rally. I would like to avoid drilling if possible.

These are probably too small. no drilling. Maybe talk to the user BRAID USA since he campaigns a 911 rally car.

The screws are there to hold the two parts of the mud flaps together to sandwich them on to the lower fender extension.

( and, believe it or not, they are OEM flaps...Daewoo that is! ) The only problem I have with aftermarket flaps is that they look and fit like aftermarket which is why I like OEM flaps.

Cheers,

Joe

What model are those flaps from? Where can you buy them?

I found them at my local Pick 'n Pull auto wrecker as I was browsing for other parts. I don't recall the model but they looked like they might fit. Dealer perhaps?

Too bad Pelican doesn't carry Daewoo flaps. Maybe they should.

Also, I like that these flaps are wide enough to keep the mud from building behind your tail light housings.

I think most of the good ones are sourced out of Europe...I believe a read somewhere that Lea Keen got his out of Italy or the likes...I had fun and just made some from Sparco's and my own mount that requires no drilling or the likes.

I've only run thick urethane flaps that take gravel spray well. I'll be going this route again for my SC / Group 2 rally build.

The thing I don't like about the ones Leh uses is that they don't seem rigid enough. In a video of one of his cars driving down the highway, they just flop around like a wet noodle. I think having something a little bit stiffer would be a better choice especially if you're driving down a gravel or loose surface road at high speed. And who wouldn't want to drive one of these at high speed down an old gravel fire road...?

I don't know, maybe they work better like that...

Thank you for amazing suggestions and pictures guys.

Marlon I love your custom solution. What are you planning to do for the front? I find that the front wheels cause more damage than rear to my car. Rear to those behind which I want to eliminate as well. Last question, would you consider making a set of the mounts and selling them to me?

I think we need to ask Pelican to start a Rally section. I am getting a lot of inspiration from Pelican but it would be nice to have it all concentrated.

I got too lazy to make a build thread...I buddy of mine egged me on and kinda took care of the $ part, so lucky me! This was just a DIY project that I finished a few months ago in my garage. Idea was to 'tribute' the factory East Africa '78. Was fun to do since I've never done anything like it and man do you ever have a grin when driving in the gravel and remember you're in a late 70's Porsche.

Couple of pics...(took about 8mthns since I still have a family and a real job) Still have to make the front Bull Bar and window clips but need to have fun too...just put on a set of Snow Tires for Winter

Oh my. That is awesome. There is a lot more than mudflaps to it! Looks like you went coilover? Raise spindles? Or is it more complicated than that? I keep seeing reference to long travel suspension but not sure anyone is actually making a suspension with any more travel than stock.

My "beater" is a 85 Coupe with a salvage title (freshwater flood) I keep thinking about doing a rally/safari conversion on it, using the leftover impact bumper stuff I have from my backdate. And keeping the spare stuff I take off so I could convert it back to AutoX height/tires for the summer months.
