Increasing Your Carbon (Fiber) Footprint

Sneak peak at some of the carbon work we will be producing. Plan is to reproduce just about every part on a 911/930, from fenders to brake shields to under trays to sun roofs to interior and engine/trunk accents. Here is one of the engine shrouds from our latest run. You can see this is 100% carbon front and back, not an overlay or laminate. Layup is 6-8 layers with critical areas built up to OE thickness for proper fitment/height.

A 911 is being built that will utilize all of the parts for display purpose. Cannot imagine what it will weigh and how strong it will be but we will find out!

Outstanding Brian.

Any idea when the engine shrouds will be available and possible cost?

Brian, that engine shroud looks to be very fine, indeed. I can attest to the incredible amount of work that will have gone into that one piece alone.

I'm obviously not the only one who's noticed a lack of availability of quality carbon parts for our cars. I wish you all success in this venture!

Parts are available now, have not been advertising as they go as quick as they are produced. Please shoot me an email for more info. Production will now scale up so we can keep inventory. Many other parts are in development as we plan to produce just about anything you can imagine for the 911/930. All will be 100% CF, same quality as the shroud.

How about a CF air diverter for your alternator?

Rear 930 wing?

This part has been blessed by Porsche Classic Germany so no problem with logo.

INCREDIBLE. Wish the shroud had been avaialble when my motor was out and I painstakingly scrubbed/refinished my stock unit. Next time! Best of luck - i'm sure given your other fab quality tolerances these are amazing.

The fellow I am consulting with who builds the molds is nothing short of genius with composite materials and engineering. Work is and will remain top notch or it won't be done. The halo car has been a work in progress for the last 4 years, this didn't happen overnight. Can't wait for you all to see that car, it is astounding.

I've been speaking with a lot of folks who have purchased carbon fiber parts (from others) and have shared the issues they had. Apparently a lot of the stuff out there that is being passed off as carbon fiber is not 100% carbon fiber. You only have issues like fraying or cracking or fuzzy edges when fiberglass is used as an internal layer, basically carbon fiber covered fiberglass. We don't do that. 100% carbon fiber using the correct number of layers to achieve the thickness required for the part to fit properly and have the correct strength and flexibility/rigidity for the application.
Here is an example of the attention to detail. Notice the weave pattern on the shroud and on the air block off plate. This set was custom, these are the capabilities.

What resin is being used? Pre-Preg? Vacuum or just laid in a mold to cure?

Cheers

Excellent work, stunning looking products, shame they will probably be too expensive for many of us here in the UK.

Any thoughts about a ducktail spoiler option? Really nice work. I'm very excited to get my new exhaust at some point!

CF is conductive if any of the electrical components (exposed fuse holders) contacts the CF. This can happen if its epoxy wears through if there's any rubbing between the CF cover and electrical components.

Epoxy resin, pre-preg, vacuum, heat cure. No thick clear coat, no jel coat. VOC/air bubbles reduced to a minimum.
Pricing will be competitive, quality will be superior. These will be distributed in Europe as well as ROW. Pelican will have them, if they desire, once we begin stocking the various items. These are low volume products as the market is rather small and it would be difficult to mass produced them while sustaining this quality level.
Eventually just about any part of a 911 will be reproduced in CF, duck tail is likely as the 930 turbo tail is now finished. What I have in store for the turbo tail is going to be mind blowing. Looking into patents now.
Yes we have fuse box covers as well as the rear CDI box cover in carbon which has a layer of non conductive material (good question!)
Light weight bullet proof brake shields anyone?

Working on pricing. Quality is the focus, pricing will be competitive within that consideration.
Porsche Classic has approved and is using these parts so quality will remain at this level.
