Help identify my ECU

Hey,

Could anyone help identify this ECU Chip? Trying to figure out if it’s a 27c32a or a 27c16. Was told to lift up the sticker - i was hoping it would come off nicely but it's not. would rather not rip it apart as I'd like to sell the performance chip after I replace it.

Pictures uploaded here

Thank you!

Its an Intel chip # 85760

Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-4640 v3

The big chip below it is the math co-processor.

The SKILL, software and devices to program that gen of E-PROMS is becoming rare.

IMHO; See all those wire jumpers???
I believe the numbers you are speaking of relate to what combination of jumpers and components equal that ECU version #

Why care what size EPROM this is? 99% sure it's a 27c32 because only very early versions used the actual 27c16. Even after the EPROM was changed to the 4K size 27c32 it only held less than 2K of actual data. The early code didn't need that much space.

But then again it doesn't really matter all that much. There is an 8K base code in the MCU and the EPROM holds some additional code and tables for the ignition and fueling. And that is certainly been modified by AutoThority. Only they know what they did to the maps. Short of reading them and comparing them to a stock chip you'll never know.

Fact is your DME has the O2 sensor electronics installed and can be made into anything. It all depends on what chip you put in. Late U.S. spec., late ROW spec. with the 28-pin 8K EPROM or any custom chip or earlier code in the 24pin EPROM.

Xeon - Math Co-Processor, you're joking right?
