rs ducktail genuine or not??

Please. Can anyone help me to identify if this is a genuine ducktail. It has a steel frame (not aluminum) and glasfiber on top. It confusese me that there´s no holes for the license-plate lights.

Thanks!

Since no one else has replied...
It's my sense that the '73 Carrera RS lids would have had aluminum frames, and that the steel-framed one would be from a less-rare, higher-volume '74-'75 Carrera. An expert may correct me, though.

that sure looks like oem 74 carrera rear duck. How can i tell? the weave of the fiberglass is not something that is normally used here, the support brace for the center latch has the curve to meet the outer skin, and there are no license plate lamps < something a 73 would have had

What is curious is that this lid has no drain holes on each end of the frame and the curve of the center support looks a little off

Exception: some 74 lids were based on left over 73s - the license plate lamp holes were covered from the inside by small plates screwed in the oe holes. But none were alloy framed

73RS came with aluminum base from initiation of production till march 73, after which all came with steel bases. And all 73's had license plate lamp holes with small drain holes on each end of the frame

Gentlemen, I am bringing up this thread because of this old ducktail
that I still carry with me all the years. I want to sell it and wondering how original this is.
Obviously someone did some structural reinforment but it has an aluminum frame with 90151200161 on it , drainholes, cut out for license plate lights and rainguarts.

Thanks!
