Dear Friends
I have this 1976 911 and since the seat belt light on the panel does not work ( trying to fix it ) and the seat belt relay itīs not installed as well I wonder if there is a microswitch on the driverīs seat belt buckle? Or how dos it works? I put a multimeter on the plugs that exits from the seat belt buckle, but when I buckle the seat belt with the male part of it, the multimeter does not show continuity, which makes me think of a faulty microswitch... Also If that is the case itīs possible to fix it? Thank you all |

From my recent build, I've learned that the whole idiot light unit on the dash for the seat belt/hand brake/ brake fluid reservoir is a royal pain in the ***.
Do the hand brake and brake fluid lights work? If so, count yourself lucky because the unit is NLA. Check the bulb by popping of the red cover by carefully prying it off with a small flat screwdriver.
