Carpet, because my car is a rich *****.

...actually a neighbor left it behind and it was easier to unroll it under the car than it was to haul it to the curb for pickup.

Take your budget and multiply it by 5 as stuff tends add up quick. I'm sure you did this but just in case, make sure you tie up your axles by the strut towers while the motor is out or the cv boots can tear.
