68' 911 targa restauration

Greetings gentlemens!

In this process many pictures in the forum you can see the full history of the car with me. Began in May 2012 and is still ongoing. I strive to work densely together all parts of images.
I'm happy for all the feedback, it may be a good idea to help.

Good post and looking around.

Zoltan from Europe / Hungary

This is going to be good! Nice car, but you won't get far without wheels or a steering wheel. LOL.

Thanks for posting, and welcome to Pelican.

Little to deal with the external appearance

Hi Gentlemen,

Once the car is able to run, this is a huge pleasure. Little to deal with the external appearance. I know I'm about to take apart and repair but not before some enjoyment Look at pictures. Hope you like the idea and style and old Porsche, little rat ...

Nice car - I like the spot-lights. And the number plate. Custom plates like that cost a FORTUNE here - Unique plates cost $2656.70 (don't forget the 70 cents) and if it counted as the make of a vehicle then $4953.60. It would be cheaper to fly to Hungary and steal yours!

The stance looks good but it may not do much for your handling and tyre wear. I had a 1973 S that somebody had done that to and the tyres wore into cones. There was full tread at the outside and down to the fabric in the middle.

Thanks for the post, especially the 70 cents
I spend more pictures where I start taking the car apart. Enjoy this, and can issue comments.

Yes it is Burgundy red in original ( 6808)

This has made in Germany Jürgen wrote it in 1967 in the factory dash !!

To be continued.

Szervus Zoltan! Welcome to Pelican. I have a Hungarian connection through my wife and Hun911 and I shared some exchanges on my thread. Hopefully you can find it useful for your restoration.

Saving the "Rat" - Restoring a 69T

I am looking forward to seeing your restoration and find it hilarious that my "Rat" is only one year younger than your "Rat". I believe the names come from different origins as yours is a "Rat Rod" and mine was really "Ratty" and filled with dead mice. I love that you kept the Grateful Dead Sticker. Hope you saw the Hungary Sticker on my Rat!

Szia,
Kristoph
