where does this hose go to? Front fender
Hello all,
I just finished my rust repair patch and am working on putting things back together but am stumped by this hose. It runs through the top of the inner fender but terminates around the fill-up hole. ![]() It exits by the bumper bracket. ![]() It was not hooked to anything that I can see or find when I removed it. Like I said, its length ends at the filler hole - but nothing is there that it would attach to? I'm assuming some sort of breather hose? I do have the vacuum canister and plan to install it - however it has two hoses that lead to the steel outlets welded into the inner fender. (not sure where either of those lead to either) see second pic on the top right. ![]()

What year of car?
Does it have headlight washers?

Probably the overfill vent for the master cylinder. It just goes to air, no attachment at the end.
Most of us find it by pressure bleeding when fluid starts running all over the garage floor!

Master Cylinder nipple has this hose running from it.. found it tucked up in the corner..
![]() It is quite long. which got me to thinking - If this hose attaches to the disconnected breather hose running through through the inner fender... at which opening does it route through..? ![]()

Is it the breather hose for the wiper fluid reservoir? Mine runs along the wiper fluid fill tube in the wheel well. Other than that, the only clear tubing that I have (on a '77) runs to and from the wiper fluid pump behind the front bumper right in front of the battery. This photo is of the outside of the filler neck inside the fender.

Here's where the other end is attached to the top of the wiper fluid reservoir.

You should have a windshield washer fluid reservoir in front of the left front tire. This large black plastic tank is filled via a plastic filler cap in the fuel fill hatch, flowing downhill via the plastic line to the reservoir. Another plastic line goes from the reservoir to the washer fluid pump which is in front of the battery on the left side of the frunk adjacent to the fluid reservoir on the front bulkhead, below and to the left of the frunk latch.

@cknoll77 - I have this hose too - it runs on the inside of the fender from cap to gas hole nipple. The hose I'm referring to runs on the inside of the inner fender on the top.
@targalid - thank you - I do have all 3 hoses running correctly (including the hose cknoll77 is referring to) Its all out now sitting on the floor waiting for install. The hose I'm referring to is in addition to the 3 we are discussing..

There is actually a fourth clear hose. It's connected to the braided hose for the break fluid overflow. It runs along inside the trunk above the fuse panel, above the battery and then out of the lower fender just in front of the battery and right under where the ground strap is connected to the frame. There is also a connection between the braided hose and clear plastic right above the gas fill hose.

OK....mine (79SC euro) runs behind the reservoir, behind the hood hinge, and connects to the plastic line (3rd pic.) and runs above the fuse box and down behind the battery .

@cknoll77 - Thank you
@pete3799 - Thank you Mystery solved - I will re-route that hose to follow the pics - above fuse panel, along side washer hose - exiting near battery ground.. Whew!
